Medicines against hair loss
There are two types of medication on prescription.
Minoxidil ® (lotion) it slows hair loss, by delaying the hair cycle. It should be used early baldness. It comes as a lotion to apply every day, morning and night, directly on the scalp. The results are visible after several months of use (6 months). At the end of treatment, the fall back.
Finasteride (pills): it inhibits the activity of the enzyme that converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, a substance harmful to the hair bulb. Very effective, it stops hair loss in 86% of men treated for one year. Nearly half of men also find an increase in the density of their hair.
The other treatment involves transplanting hair grafts are collected hair on the crown, which is implanted on the top of the skull.
